Week 8 Reflection

Again here we are at the end of another week, as always there is still much ground to cover, and over the past few days the majority of my learning has been primarily focused on the Rails framework. I have a lot to say about how its all gone, a lot has gone great, some things not so much.

So I want to start with what has been going really well, throughout this week I have learned a lot in my team, I feel a lot more comfortable with the Agile workflow. I feel my team has been communicating great and we have collectively achieved a lot in a reasonably short time frame, for the very first time I said to one of my pair programmers I genuinely feel like a software engineer. However, as I say there's still a lot to learn, and with the support of Makers and my colleagues I feel step by step I’m getting there.

I think this week has been particularly special for me as I feel a lot of concepts I have been learning are finally sticking. Learning Rails has for sure been a challenge and I have a lot to learn about its capabilities, however, I feel be revisiting the framework this weekend I’ll get a fairly good grasp on what it's truly capable of.

So there a few things I have taken from this week that I feel I really need to improve on. One of those things being how I read documentation and tutorials, I feel this week I had put up some unnecessary roadblocks for myself due…
