Weeks 5 & 6 reflection

Wow, the past 2 weeks have been crazy and I have loved every moment!

As you can guess based on the frequency of my blog posts I have been swamped resulting in me making the decision to consolidate my reflection update into one document. So what have I been up to? Agile working of course! I have spent the past two weeks working on 2 web applications with my colleagues using a variety of technologies such as Javascript, PSQL, Travis CI, and Jquery. Not to state this obvious but it’s been stressful, never the less a good kind of stress if you get what I mean? It always helps when you have an awesome team to help you through the journey.

Just to list some of the things I feel I achieved with my pair partners this week;

  • The ability to effectively test-drive a front end JavaScript web app.
  • The ability to follow an effective process for learning a new language.
  • Building 2 front-end apps in Javascript found here and here.
  • An improved understanding of Javascript

I can’t express how far I and my team have come over the past few weeks, week 5 had been the first time I worked in a real agile work environment, and it has taught me so much.

So.. Now time to reflect on what these past few weeks have highlighted to me about my own abilities…
